Description

Remember the crafting cabin at summer camp? Macaroni art? Bringing home that clay creation to grandma? That was the BEST part of going to camp! Right?!? Well...have we got a great event for you...

The Freeman School Business Minor Summer Institute allows Tulane University students from all majors and disciplines an opportunity to complete 8 Freeman School courses for a Business Minor in a matter of 10 weeks during the summer. The goal is to provide additional education and training for students in all programs so they will have a competitive edge in the marketplace when seeking internships and post-graduate opportunities.

A highlight of this program is the opportunity to network with alumni from all walks of life who are engaged in all types of careers and vocations while enrolled in this program.

*NEW THIS YEAR - Crafting with Grown Ups*

In the same spirit of collaborative art making from summer camp, the Career Management Center is hosting an alternative networking event called "Crafting with Grown Ups" for our Business Minor Summer Institute. The details are simple.

We will provide a craft station at several tables in a room and invite our "grown ups" (alumni and other professionals in New Orleans) to pick a craft to work on. The students in the Business Minor Summer Institute will get to pick which table and craft they want to work on and hopefully network with you while you work on your crafts.

There is no particular outcome other than a really sweet looking clay bowl AND meeting some talented Tulane students working on their Business minor requirements this summer. It will be fun....this is guaranteed!

There will be food and drink and we promise it will be the most interesting networking event you will ever attend.

Please join us for this great new event. We'll even have aprons for you so you won't get your clothes messed up.
